Another one of my favorite stores is Big Lots. I was first introduced to this store about six or seven years ago through a co-worker. Ever since then, I’ve been a fan. Not all of their prices are cheaper, but I have found many, many deals there on a variety of items. If you were wondering what deals the store will have from February 26th to March 5, you can find a partial list below. Happy shopping! Pepsi 2-liter bottles – $.97 each Big Lots bathroom tissue, 12 rolls – $5 10′ x 10′ double roof gazebo...

One of my favorite places to shop is Five Below. I’ve bought quite a few Christmas and school supplies at the one located in Newington, NH. I know there are others like me, so I’m going to start posting Five Below deals for those who are interested in them. For those who have never been to a Five Below, I strongly encourage you to see if there are any located near you. The one in Newington is the same area as Best Buy, Barnes & Noble and Kohl’s. All of Five Below’s items are $1 to $5, that’s it....

The other day my mother and I, along with my three-year-old son, drove to Dover to see my younger brother. As we drove by Target my little man grew very upset. Target is his favorite store, and it’s been well over a month since we’ve shopped there. So his Nana made a promise to him that we would stop after we were done visiting with my brother. Once we were finally in Target, Blake was as happy as could be. He loves helping us shop. (And when I say help, I mean he loves throwing stuff into the cart when we don’t...

Some of my favorite articles and blog posts to read are ones about meals that cost under $5. It always intrigues me to see what kinds of meals are possible for so little of an amount.¬†With the rising grocery prices, it’s becoming harder and harder to achieve that. But with a little creativity and work, it’s possible Sure, there are times that I...

My husband made a trip to Save-A-Lot for a few items that I wanted him to pick up. Of course, there were a few things that he bought that weren’t on my list, but considering what he spent and what it would have cost him at Wal-mart or Shaw’s for the same items, I can’t complain. As you will note, some of the items listed do not have any comments beside them because I can’t remember the average pricing at Wal-mart or Shaw’s. Andy Capp Hot Fries – $.89 (Shaw’s price – $.99) 2- 4-pack...

Here are the deals that can be found at Shaw’s this week. This is not a complete list of items because, in my opinion, not all of their “sale” items are a good deal. Yoplait Yogurt – 20/$10 Hood Ice Cream – 2/$5 Dynamo Laundry Detergent – Buy 1 Get 2 Free Frito Lay Ruffles or Smartfood – Buy 1 Get 1 Free Shaw’s Boneless Chicken Breasts – $1.99 lb. Lean Cuisine Meals – $1.99 General Mills Nature Valley Granola Bars, Cereal and Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks – 2/$5 Cabot...

Yesterday I noticed there were some good deals in Save-A-Lot‘s flier. (The prices are good until February 26th, while some are good through the 27th.) I figured there may be some of you that don’t receive the flier, so I thought I’d list out the items here. I hope it helps you in your grocery shopping adventures this week. * Mr. P’s Pepperoni or Supreme Pizza (6.5oz pkg.) – $.59 Fisher Boy Fish Sticks (8oz. pgk.) – $.99 Ocean Market Fish Fillets (4oz. pgk.) – $.99 Doritos, Cheetos & Fritos...

Early last week I called the Podcaturday hotline and left a voicemail message for author James Melzer who is marrying my BFF Jennifer Hudock tomorrow afternoon. (Congrats you two!) Yesterday, during the newest installment of Podcaturday, my voicemail was played. Unfortunately, that meant the whole world could hear me break into tears as I discussed how much I love Jenny and how I’m so happy that she found James. In addition to my theatrics, my girl Jenny did a bit of name dropping and mentioned Frugal Maine, which was really...

Angel Food Ministries may be the food solution for you and your family! As I’ve stated in a previous post, many Maine residents are struggling on a day-to-day basis to feed their families. With the rising cost of food prices, a budget of $200 doesn’t go far. While some families have the ability to allot more money to feed their families each month,...

After much internal debate with myself, I finally decided to launch this site, despite the nagging voice in my head telling me that I really don’t have time for it. I think that pesky voice is scared of failing. Actually, I know it is. Well, too bad!! I’m tired of letting that little voice hold me back, so yesterday I told it to shut up and let me...
