As a child, one of my favorite brands of clothing was OshKosh B’gosh. I think almost every child when I was a kid had a pair of OshKosh overalls at some point, even if they were a pair of hand-me-downs, which in my opinion, are some of the best kind.
When I became a mom for the first time, it made sense that my daughter ended up with several pairs too. And then when my son was born, he got some as well. In fact, he has quite a bit of clothing right now that has the OshKosh name on it. And honestly, it’s his favorite clothing. My stepson’s too.
In case you weren’t aware, OshKosh clothing isn’t just for young kids too. They carry sizes up to 12 years, which I didn’t know until recently which means my stepson can wear them for awhile yet since he’s a bit on the smaller side. And when he outgrows the clothing he has, it will be handed down to my son and eventually to someone else too.
One of the biggest reasons I love OshKosh clothing. The quality of their clothes is very high. The material is durable and able to withstand the rigorous testing that children put it through. My son is not easy on clothes in the least. That boy can wear out the knees on his jeans as quick as I can replace them. I’ve seen him put on a new pair of pants from other stores and by the end of the day, they’ve got a whole in them.
Seriously, I think my son should be a professional clothing tester. If they can withstand him, they can withstand anything.
Since I was sick when it came time to purchase our sons some clothing with the gift card I received to facilitate this post, I decided to shop online. While at the site, I browsed the section that showed preplanned outfits for boys that way I could see what the individual pieces looked like together. I then had my son pick out what clothes he wanted. He settled on this cute outfit: jeans, a Sherpa vest and the cute shirt below. (Ignore the glasses he has on in the pic. He thought he looked cool. LOL!)
Since we had a little money left to spend after we picked out his brother’s clothing, he also chose this cute camo shirt. (And how could I say no? I love anything camo. It’s the country girl in me.)
And as for my stepson, we got him a cool button up shirt that he absolutely loves.
The under shirt is a long sleeve Henley shirt.
And the pants can be rolled which adds a little something extra to the outfit.

Every year we try and find some way to make a difference in other’s lives. It’s very important to my husband and I that we teach our kids the importance of giving to others because it’s better to give a gift, to make a difference, than it is to receive. This is a value that we both were taught growing up and hope to instill in our children so one day they pass it on.
Just last week my husband and I were browsing the various yard sale sites on Facebook like we often do and came across a woman whose daughter’s booster seat had been stolen and was looking for a cheap one to replace it. We just happened to have one leftover from my son, so my husband contacted her and said she could have it. The next day, before work, he stopped at the store and picked her daughter up a little stuffed animal and blanket. When the women came to pick up the seat and presents, she was incredibly touched.
We didn’t expect what she did next.
The woman went back on the same page she posted on and thanked my husband publicly for doing what he did and how it reminded her that there are still good people in this world. It was incredibly sweet because it told us just how much his generosity meant to her. And in this day and age where we are inundated with negativity every time we leave the house, turn on the TV or read the paper, it’s nice to have a reminder that there is goodness and light still in this world.
In doing what we did, we had a #GiveHappy moment where we spread joy, happiness and smiles to someone in need, which is what it’s all about. Now what about you? Have you had a #GiveHappy moment yet or are you planning to?
