Yesterday was the first day of school for my oldest and technically the first for my youngest, but he only went for an hour and a half for orientation. Today is the first full day for both. I have to admit, the house is really quiet without my little whirlwind known as Blake running around. I’m so used to hearing his voice and him needing constant attention that I’m a bit lost without him here. I keep expecting to hear him holler my name because he needs something, but all I’m greeted with instead is the hum of the refrigerator and the sound of the ceiling fan as the blades turn rotate. I know in five hours or so the house will sound as though a circus is living here, but for now, it doesn’t, so Im utilizing this time wisely and getting things done, including taking a shower without being interrupted. When I saw the picture below it made me laugh and remember I could take a shower without the kidlets barging in on me, so I shed my clothes and jumped in. I still didn’t stay in long but I was able to shower in peace and that was oh so lovely.
How are all of parents fairing now that your munchkins are in school?
