A few years ago I decided I wanted to (eventually) get my nose pierced but up until this week, hadn’t done it. Money and time was always a factor.
Well…I finally did it!
While at the Mall of New Hampshire in Manchester, NH, my husband told me I should get it done since we had the opportunity to. And I did.
The pain wasn’t too bad. I did say “oh shit”, though, when the stud went in because it was shocking and weird. It did make my eyes tear up too, but in comparison to pushing two kids out of my body, the piercing was nothing.
As you can see, I chose a blue stone stud for my nose opposed to a hoop since that is what my husband and I felt would look better on me.
Unfortunately, I’m one of those unlucky souls who can’t keep their stud in. The day I got pierced it popped halfway out of my nose. Yesterday, same thing! Today it popped out for good, and I couldn’t get it back in. My husband and I both tried but with no luck. I think it has to do with the fact it’s a corkscrew stud and because of the angle of the piercing. Either way, I was not happy.
I called Medusa to find out what to do since we had spent $45 on the piercing and aftercare spray; it was a hard pill to swallow that we wasted money on a piercing that I would no longer have. They said I could come back in today and they would put a hoop in so it wouldn’t come out, and they would do it for free. Thank goodness! I really didn’t want to have to pay for another piercing this week, especially since I wasn’t made aware that there was a possibility the stud would come out.
So, if you’re looking to get your nose pierced, I highly recommend going with a hoop to start over a corkscrew stud. You don’t want to end up in my shoes.
