Thanksgiving is just a couple days away, which means I need to start prepping for it. I was going to make a bacon-wrapped turkey, but I just don’t have the time, space or money this year to cook the meal I wanted. So I modified my Thanksgiving dinner menu a little bit.
I’m making:
- A small spiral ham
- A Butterball Savory Herb Turkey Roast
- Maine potatoes
- Cranberry sauce
- Green bean casserole
- Butternut squash
- Stuffing
- Homemade gravy
- Rolls made from Take 2 Dough Production‘s dough
- Blueberry pie
- Pumpkin pie filling (My daughter refuses to eat it with crust)
Once I started writing this post, my mother called to inform me we’re getting 10 inches of snow, starting at midnight. HEAVY SNOW! That means my Thanksgiving plans will most likely be ruined because we’re going to lose power. And when we lose power, it’s usually out for a couple days. I did order a generator this past Friday, but my order is still being processed so we won’t have it in time to cook Thanksgiving dinner. *insert colorful words here* Sigh!
