Meet Our New Fur Baby

You may have noticed that I haven’t been overly active on here over the past couple days.

But I promise I have a good reason.

On Friday we welcome a new member to our family.

For the past several months my boyfriend and I have been looking at potential dogs to add to our brood. However, all the ones we looked at online and inquired about where not the right fit for us for one reason or another. Rather than grow frustrated, though, we told ourselves that when the time was right, a dog would come into our lives. We were in no rush, and our patience paid off.

The other day my mom called me and told me about a puppy she had learned about from a friend. Her owner was looking for a new home for her because her husband was allergic to her. Another family was interested in her but when she went to meet them, the owner’s other dog didn’t take well to her. When my mom heard she called me to tell me.

And as they say, the rest was history.

On Friday, my boyfriend and I met my mother in Rochester and picked up our new fur baby. She was an early Christmas present for my boyfriend. He fell in love with her right away. She slept in his arms while he drove us home.

Her name is Zoe, and she’s a Minpin with a big personality. She absolutely loves our pug. They get along extremely well. Better than we anticipated.

And the kids? They all love her.

Honestly, in just a few days she’s become a big part of the family and I can’t imagine her not being here. She keeps me on my toes all day long. She loves to cuddle and doesn’t like it when I work…just like a toddler. LOL!

Fair warning…expect a lot of posts about her. I have a feeling there will be a lot.
