I love to cook. A lot. I love testing out new recipes on my family. Some end up being huge hits that I make over and over again. And others not so much.
Over the years, I’ve been known to spend HOURS searching online for the perfect recipe, and instead of printing them out because it wastes too much paper and ink, I bookmark it. Now if you’re like me, you know those bookmarks build up fast. And there’s nothing I hate more than a ton of bookmarks to search through when I want to make a particular recipe. So when I heard about the chance to review Cook’n 10, I was excited, to say the least. I’ve wanted to find a better way to organize my favorite recipes for a long time.
I installed the program yesterday and then watched the online instructional video that takes you through using the program. It was very easy to follow, and I couldn’t wait to start playing around.
Once the video was done playing, I went in search of Salisbury Steak recipes. I don’t know why, but it was the first meal to pop into my head, so I went with it.
The great thing about this program is you can search for recipes on the software’s homepage, which is quick and easy. The results for Salisbury Steak popped up instantly, and I clicked on one from the Food Network. Once it opened up I clicked the capture button located at the top of the program screen. And just like that, the recipe appeared and I was able to categorize it appropriately.
Another option for finding recipes to try is by purchasing a Cook’n 10 compatible cookbook via their website for a fee. There are a wide range of cookbooks available to choose from.
And if you’re not satisfied with the way your cookbooks look, you can choose a new theme. I haven’t done that yet, but I saw it mentioned in the video and I’m excited to try it out.
Two other great features this program offers is the ability to tweak recipe sizes, so if you’re having a big get together, you can adjust the servings amounts and the program will calculate the rest. You can also view the nutritional information for each recipe.
I also can’t forget to mention that you can print out your recipes on recipe cards or print out a grocery list based on the items needed for the recipe of your choosing. How convenient.
You can also share your favorite recipes with family and friends via email.
So as you can surely tell by now, I highly recommend this recipe software to anyone who is looking for an easy to use, fun program that will make your recipe organization much easier.
