Day four of The 25 Days of Christmas with Patrick, our Elf on the Shelf.
I promised yesterday that today’s photo would be a funny one. And I wasn’t lying. It’s hilarious. Out of the past four days, today’s is my favorite. My boyfriend’s too. And now you can see why.
I mentioned in yesterday’s post that after Patrick won the sack race between him and his friends I overheard them say they were going to get him back for having an unfair advantage. (It’s alleged that he flew to the finish line and didn’t hop! He admitted nothing, though.)
As you can see, the friends got together and stuck Patrick in a toilet paper roll and pushed him down the stairs. He got stuck on one of the steps, so Jeffrey the pig helped out and pushed him the rest of the way down, as seen below.
The kids woke up this morning to find Patrick lying at the foot of the stairs. Poor Patrick.
Today Patrick spent the day resting on the arm of the couch. Hopefully he feels better by tonight and can watch a Christmas movie with us.
This is so cute! Wish my parents knew about this when I was growing up. It is a fabulous way to build the suspense for Christmas morning 🙂

I wish it had been around when I was a kid too! I would have loved it. I know our kids love it.
