For awhile now I’ve been trying to come up with a theme for my boyfriend and I’s bedroom. It hasn’t been easy because of the wall colors in there. We have three white walls and an accent wall that’s red, so there are many ideas that just don’t work with the color scheme. The one idea that has kept coming back to me is an Asian theme, so I looked on Dezign With a Z for Asian wall stickers.
Once I made a decision on the theme, I visited the Dezign With a Z website and picked out the wall stickers below. They represent Happiness, Health and Longevity.
When they came in, I was surprised by how different they felt in comparison to other wall decals I’ve tried in the past. When we placed the Asian decal on our wall above our bed, we missed a crucial, and I mean CRUCIAL, part of the instructions and removed the sticky portion of the decal incorrectly. We didn’t start at the corner and because of that, we ended up with decals that started peeling off the walls and had bubbles.
Once we realized our mistake on the third Asian sticker on the right in the picture above, we started at the opposite corner and saw a drastic difference in the way it looked. We did manage to save the other two, but when you look closely, you can see the difference, just not in the photo because it’s not an extreme closeup.
Because I was also sent two butterflies that I was interested in, I was able to put them on the wall correctly, and as you can see below, they look amazing. (I’ve included a photo of how to properly place the wall decals.
I admit, when I was first putting the wall decals up, I was frustrated but once I realized our mistake, my frustration went away. I absolutely love the way they look and would definitely return to DezignWithaZ.com for additional decals. They carry a wide range of products, including wall decals, appliques, wall lettering, as well as full-size murals. Their products are of very high quality. I definitely recommend checking out their site if you’re looking for a cheaper way to decorate your walls but that still looks pleasing to the eye.
