Well, I have to say I wasn’t overly impressed with the Black Friday sales this year. I did get some good deals, but nothing like I have in previous years. The only place that my mother and I went to that I saved a boatload at was Kohl’s.
My Black Friday savings are below:
- Kmart: I spent $80.11, and I saved $66.70. Plus, I got a $20 off coupon for a future purchase of $100 or more between 11/27 and 12/03. I also got a coupon for 10% off a future toy purchase.
- Kohl’s: I spent $248.29. I saved $298.29 AND I got back $60 in Kohl’s cash, which I’m going to use to buy each of my kids a New England Patriots jersey. The item I saved the most on was the two-piece steel Tonka truck set for my son. It’s regular price was $69.99 and I paid $34.99. He’s going to be ecstatic when he unwraps them Christmas morning.
- Target: I spent $179.20 and I only saved $9.01. Most of the items I bought from there weren’t on sale, like the Wii drawing board, but I figured I might as well grab a few items on my holiday shopping list while there.
- Walmart: I have no clue how much I saved because their receipts don’t show it. I spent $208.88. $40 of that was on a new printer for work.
Total spent: $716.48
Total savings: $374.70
