Disclosure: This is not a sponsored post. I purchased Electronic Monopoly with my own money. We loved it so much that I wanted to share my thoughts with all of you.
The other day I was talking to Amber from Thrifty Ninja and she mentioned she and her family had tried out Electronic Monopoly. I’ve been wanting to buy it for my daughter for quite some time but had held off because I didn’t know anyone who had tried it out. As soon as Amber told me what she thought, I knew I was going to splurge this weekend and buy my daughter the game. (And luckily, it was on sale for $24.99 at Target.)
So last night, after dinner, Mikala, Blake and I sat down at my kitchen table to play a game. Now mind you, Blake is only 4, so he had NO IDEA what he was doing. We didn’t want him to feel left out, which he would have. He did get bored eventually and ended up throwing his property cards at us and then stormed off. After that it was just Mini Me and myself. She put up a good fight, and for quite some time, she was beating me, but in the end Mommy won. She wanted to play another round but we’d already been playing for two hours, and my mind was shutting down, so I told her we would today.
I have to say I love the electronic banker. I’m horrible at math. It’s never been my strong suit, so having the electronic banker do all the work for me and her was exactly what I needed. And she found it amusing that she had a debit card with millions on it. She kept screaming “I’m rich”, which was always followed by a laugh. What a nut!
So in conclusion, if you’re looking for a great game to play with the whole family, I highly suggest Milton Bradley’s Electronic Monopoly. And I would suggest not letting a 4-year-old play because you may end up with a face full of cards, or even worse, a skateboard upside the cheek.
